Elegance in a Traditional Setting: Exploring the Possibilities of a Wedding and Reception at Graydon Manor Hall
The wedding day is intended to be something that the couple cherishes for the rest of their lives. Choosing the right setting for the ceremony and the reception is a task that should be taken lightly. That’s why many people consider everything that Graydon Manor Hall has to offer. Before choosing a venue, here is some information about the Hall and why it could be the perfect place to tie the knot.
The History of the Hall
Graydon Manor Hall was designed and constructed under the watchful eye of architects Walter Moorhouse and Allan George. Originally known as Graydon House, the mansion offered a stunning 29 room and a number of auxiliary buildings that served as quarters for employees and other functions. The landscaping was designed by Dunnington-Grubb and Stensson and ensured that the positioning of every element of the property made the best possible use of natural sunlight. Completed in 1936, Graydon House served as a hub of the social scene for decades.
In 2000, the former Graydon House was transformed into the boutique wedding and reception facility that people know today. Much of the original charm of the home and grounds remains, although changes like the addition of parking areas and other essentials were tastefully worked into the original design.
What the Hall Has to Offer
The Hall is promoted as a boutique setting for weddings and receptions. To that end, it works well for any type of wedding that a couple has in mind. It’s possible to secure a section of the garden for a simple but elegant outdoor wedding. The rooms on the main floor offer spaces for ceremonies while the dining room is large enough to accommodate a sizable number of people for a seated reception. The kitchen space is updated to include the latest features, something that makes the process of wedding catering in Graydon Manor Hall a pleasure for professional caterers.
For outdoor receptions and weddings, the terrace is also available. It’s possible to arrange for a canopy that provides shade for up to 250 guests and provides a means bringing definition to the space. There are private bridal areas suitable for dressing and other preparations as well as facilities for the groom’s party to settle in and relax before the ceremony. Changing rooms for the happy couple to use before they depart are also provided.
A Suggested Plan for an Afternoon Wedding and Reception
During the warmer months, choosing a location in the garden provides the perfect setting for a ceremony. The staff can help with as much or as little of the preparations as possible. Depending on the number of guests, it’s possible to choose a garden location that allows everyone to gather close to the couple. Alternatively, chairs can be arranged to ensure all the guests are comfortable as the couple exchanges their vows.
Pair the outdoor ceremony with a reception on the terrace. The airy feel will add to the joy of the day. Rest assured that everything needed for the wedding catering at Graydon Manor Hall can be transported to the terrace with ease.
Take the time to visit the Hall and learn more about what it has to offer. The couple may find that it’s the perfect place to begin their married life together.
